With Pennsylvania’s orders limiting gatherings to ten or less having been allowed to expire on Monday morning, Mount Calvary’s congregational council has made the decision to resume in-person gatherings, effective immediately.

We respect the commonwealth’s ongoing decisions and efforts at keeping Pennsylvanians safe, recognizing that even with “separation of church and state,” there are still many cases in which our faith advocates honoring the work and decisions of government leaders. We hope that the most recent suspension of gatherings may have been enough to slow the rising surge of cases.

Saturday worship will resume Saturday, January 9th at 5:30pm, and Sunday worship will resume January 10th at 8:45am, with the regular youth Sunday school options offered. Masks will continue to be required and social distancing enforced for all gatherings and worship services. Please also remember to “bring your own bread” for the celebration of Holy Communion.

Those unable to or uncomfortable joining with us at Mount Calvary can still participate in the Sunday service by listening in live on 88.3FM locally, or from anywhere via our website at mt-calvarylutheran.org. Additionally, a condensed version of the service will be available on Facebook each Wednesday.

We will continue to monitor local conditions while consulting with local physicians and healthcare professionals as decisions are made in the future. Please watch our website, Facebook page, or email list for future updates.
